3 videos cbs news

Anderson Cooper: Does your dog really love you?-
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/anderson-cooper-does-your-dog-really-love-you/
I like dogs and Anderson Cooper, I also think that learning about dogs is fun because in my opinion they are cute and loving creatures. I also really find it interesting to learn fun facts that in the future could help me with my dog too. This video showed Anderson cooper talking to different people interviewing people and getting interviewed. It had a man showing pictures of stimulants in dogs brains and explaining what exactly was going on.

In this video the interviewer was smiling and getting into what the people are saying and leaning in listening, talking and adding follow up questions to almost everything he says. Talking about the questions and discussing them.

The recyclers: From trash comes triumph
http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/the-recyclers-from-trash-comes-triumph-2/
Music is definitely one of my biggest passions. I never knew that you could make instruments out of "trash" and make it sound like actual instruments. I thought it was really cool to hear about all the people who are in the music program and the man who was making the instruments out of old cookie trays and such.  I found this topic cool and when the interviewer was talking to a student who had gone to an actual music school and then came back to work on her music and used the "trash" instruments. The interviewer asked her what she imagined when she played her instrument, her response was "I imagine I am somewhere else. Somewhere where there is grassy fields and there isn't trash everywhere and the people are happy."

In this video the interviewer was getting good info, making people feel comfortable. They are interested in what people have to say and they are paying attention. They were leaning in and adding follow up questions. They were leaning in and smiling and asking about the music and what the people thought about it.

Behind the arrest of public enemy number one-
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/joaquin-el-chapo-guzman-drug-cartel-kingpin-behind-the-arrest-of-pubic-enemy-number-one/
I find this topic very useful because it tells you about what seems to be one of the worlds biggest drug dealers and they caught him. Even though they had to go through a tunnel that they found underneath a bathtub leading to not one but six safe houses. Him, his wife, maid, personal chef, and most trusted body gaurd all disposed of their phones and went to a safe house as they were running the swat team could hear the sound of their feet splashing in the water but they were too far ahead to catch up.

In my video the interviewer wasn't shown often but the had a straight serious face and they were leaning in and listening to what the person was saying. They were leaning in and listening to the people as they talked. Smiling when it was appropriate and keeping a straight face when It was not.

20 questions interview

I interviewed Danielle. She goes by Danny or DP (for Danny phantom)Her favorite color is purple(my moms too!). She is 25 just kidding 14. Her favorite movie is the notebook(heartbreaking but amazing!!!). She does have netflix (netflix is bae). She doesn't like school and she likes any music but screamo (I agree). She told me that she does have a homecoming date(same), she likes food and her favorite food is pizza (yum but steak it better), Danielle likes going to the mall and being on Instagram where she has 519 followers. She told me she prefers Beyoncé over Rihanna, her favorite sport is cheerleading, she is only ever an asshole on the weekends, I asked her whether she prefers Hoodie Allen or kid cudi and she said trick question which is true because they are both great artists, I asked her if she prefers g-eazy or Mac Miller and she said who? Which was just sad because I love both of them probably because I'm into a lot of rap music haha. I asked her how many friends she has and she said she has eight friends her five cats and three people (sounds like me haha). She has one sister her name is Jessica.

What I expect from this school year

I expect it to be a fun class with work that is easily accessible from anywhere. I also expect to have lots of meaning and help out with my typing. Im really just in here to be on yearbook which I think should be a lot of fun if I do it. I expect this class to help my research skills and to help with some of my other classes.

I hope that it will continue to be a fun class where we joke around and get our work done. I expect Cundiff to keep being a cool funny teacher and mess with people. I really like this class so far and I don't know what to expect from it. Im looking forward to getting into the year and learning more. I expect this class to be exciting and just fun to be in.

I expect this school year to be full of fun work that isn't to difficult but does give me a challenge. I expect this class to be interesting and I think it will with Cundiff as a teacher. I think that this whole year should be a great experience and I think this class should be a great class to base future classes on. I think that this class will be a lot of fun and I expect myself to get an A.

I don't know what all to expect I am a freshman so I guess I have high expectations of what should happen.

You should read these 3 articles because...

http://desmoinesrowing.org/rowing-programs/juniors/

The reason I have put up the Des Moines junior rowing club site is because I am a member of this team. The only problem is 3 of the 5 rowers are graduating this year so they will no longer be on the team.

We are looking for more people to join the team because Quinn (the other rower who is not graduating) and I don’t want to just do singles, doubles, and sub for the master boats. We desperately need more people on the team so that the junior rowing team doesn’t have to end.

http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2014/08/25/emmys-2014-live-blogging-the-awards-show/

It is the passing of the 66th annual Emmy award show. In this year’s show it seems that breaking bad has taken all the awards?!

Personally I don’t like the show I thought it was boring but could this be a reason to give it another chance?

This is a beforehand look at the Emmys and thinking about it. It really catches your eye to see Seth McFarlan front and center.

I think you should read this article and see what someone was thinking was going to happen then compare to what actually did.

Robin Williams’s death was extremely disappointing to people all over. R.I.P He was an amazing actor and maybe even a legend.

People are trying to say that money problems caused his death. Others say it was depression.

What do you think? I feel like whenever you saw him weather it was in a movie or a commercial or even a talk show. He was always happy.

I wonder what happened. What made this happen?

What caused him to give up? We may never know.

My first blog

I am Olivea. I am 14 years old. I am an only child from Iowa.

I have lived in Iowa my entire life. I am in high school.

I try my best and work hard in school. I try to make good choices and be my own person.

I try to get to classes on time which can be very hard with the crowded halls.

I am in rowing and I love being outdoors. I don't like school that much but I still try my best.

I am blogging for Mr. Cundiff's 5th block class. We are all starting blogs to share about us and our opinions on the world around us.

I am a freshman in this class.

Moving from middle school to high school has been a big change. I am already realizing that it will be very different in some ways and the same in others.

I am learning that not only will be expected to get all our work done and turned in but we have to do it by ourselves there won’t be reminders from our teachers.

So far I like most of my classes. The only class I don’t like is conceptual physics.

My favorite class is either English or journalism because I actually like my teachers in those classes.

I also really like art because a lot of my friends are in it and it is a lot of fun. Plus Mrs. Lange is really nice.

So far this year has been a lot of fun. I am already making lots of new friends and meeting a lot of new people.

I think that if I try hard and focus on my grades I can get straight A’s this year. That also might mean giving up friends and basically the social life I don’t actually have.

I lost a lot of my friends in 3rd grade when I transferred to Hubbell from walnut St. School. Which is pretty disappointing but I have ran into a lot of them this year and it’s crazy that we still remember each other after so many years.

I'm Olivea and this is my blog.
